The Conservation Poster contest is open to kindergarten through twelfth grade students and posters are evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Conservation message
  • Visual effectiveness
  • Originality
  • Universal appeal
  • Individual artwork

School Presentations
Each year the Land Conservation Department visits area schools to give presentations related to Taylor County’s natural resources.

Youth Education Committee
The Taylor County LCD is part of the Wisconsin Land+Water Conservation Association Youth Education Committee.  The committee puts together education programs throughout the state. Programs include:

  • Area and State Conservation Awareness Poster and Speaking Contest
  • Wisconsin Envirothon
  • Youth Conservation Camp
