SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Applications are being accepted for full-time vacancies that offer an excellent benefit package and starting wage of $18.86 per hour to Jailer/Dispatchers at the Taylor County Sheriff’s office.

The individual in this position performs a variety of duties, either involving the care and custody of prisoners confined to the Taylor County Jail or the operation of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center, including the 911 system.  The position is non-sworn and without powers of arrest.

Applicant must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent. Consideration will be given for prior law enforcement experience.  Applicants will be subject to written testing, oral interview, medical examination, drug screening, and background investigation.

 TREATMENT COURT COORDINATOR

HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT

 

Taylor County is currently hiring a limited-term Treatment Court Coordinator.  The Treatment Court Coordinator will be responsible for the management of the Treatment Court Program in Taylor County.  Individual will be responsible for facilitating treatment court team meetings, day-to-day operation of the program, maintaining client data, working with members of the community involved in treatment court, planning, organizing, coordination and monitoring activities in accordance with policies and procedures and judicial standards.

Applicant must have an Associate’s Degree in Alcohol & other Drug Abuse, Human Services or related field.  Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license.  Applicant must successfully complete a Background Information Disclosure (BID)/caregiver background check.
